Qualifications and training
Medical studies at Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, 1990–1996.
Specialist training as urologist and andrologist at the Klinikum rechts der Isar, university training hospital of Munich Technical University, 1996–2004. Specialist status granted July 2003.
MD in the field of Andrology (Testicular Varicose Veins)

While completing his specialist training, with special emphasis on Oncology, from 1999 Dr Salzmann was already in charge of the department’s regular andrology clinic.

Until he joined the Promenadeplatz practice in October 2004, he continued to run the andrology clinic in the urological department of the Klinikum rechts der Isar (Director, Professor Rudolf Hartung).

He is a member of:

• the German Urology Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie, DGU)
• the German Andrology Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Andrologie, DGA)
• the andrology quality circle in Munich
• the working group for reproductive medicine at the Munich Fertility Centre (Kinderwunsch Zentrum München)
• the European Association of Urology (EAU)

In addition to German, Dr Salzmann speaks English.
